My favorite holiday is Christmas because I get to get gifts and see my family. I like Christmas because I get to give other people gifts to open and see their enjoyment in the presents. My family also makes a really good dinner on Christmas and we usually have a bunch of people over. I have multiple Christmas's each year because of my mom's side and my dad's side.

The cow was on his way to work. But before he had to go to work, he stopped by a cafe. He then spent all of his time at the cafe and realized he was late. So he left the cafe and went to work. On his way to work, he heard the sirens of the police and found out he was getting pulled over. He was going speeding fast like a horse so that's why he got in trouble. When the cop walked up to the car, the cow found out that the police officer was a poodle. The poodle then left the cow go because he had a good reason why he was speeding.

Honoring veterans is similar to breathing; you must do it every day. Veterans day is only once a year, but veterans aren’t just fighting for our country on that day. They fight for our country everyday, that is why they should be honored. That is not the only reason though. There are multiple reasons why. It is important to honor veterans every day not just on Veteran’s Day.
One reason is that they risked their lives for our country and our freedom, so they deserve more respect than just one day a year. They have fought in multiple wars and have died for us. Veterans risk their lives so that we can have a happy life and not worry about whether we will be taken over by another country. Right now there are currently 18.8 million veterans representing our country and keeping us out of harm's way. In World War 2 405,399 veterans died alone. Memorial parks help us remember the sacrifices their families had to make to protect our freedom.
Another reason veterans should be honored everyday is, because it takes a lot of courage to be one. They must be away from their families for a long time. Not only that, but they live in overcrowded, substandard housing. They must deal with the fact that they might never see their family again. Also, have had to face seeing multiple people they knew die and fought along side of die, but they had to keep going and they could not stop. The veterans had to suffer through traumatic stress disorder, brain injuries, and major mental-health issues while they were fighting and after. They need to be honored every day to show that we appreciate their courage and bravery, and everything they must face just so we can be a free country.
One more main reason veterans should be honored is because of what their life is like afterward. After they get out of the military they have a 50% more of a chance to be homeless than normal people. They have to live with everything they have ever seen from the previous wars. They could develop fears from what that they had seen or heard in the war. For example, they might develop a fear of fireworks because they sound like bombs. They may suffer from PTSD, survivor's guilt, depression, and addiction abuse. For some veterans returning to civilian life is like another challenge for them. For example starting a new career path, locating a new home, understanding things may be different from the military. They have to reconnect with their family and learn things that happened while they were gone and they will have to adapt to the new way of living. Because veterans may have a hard life after they get out of the service, they should be recognized every day for what they might have to go through.
The main thing to take away from this is that veterans are important to our lives. Veterans have done so much for our country they deserve more than just one day a year. Everyone should be thankful for all that veterans have done, whether it was in the past, the present, or they haven’t fought yet. Everyone should be thankful because of their courage, bravery, and sacrifices they have had to make for us and for their families.
